Hopefully you’ve had your best summer ever, filled with trips to the beach and burgers on the grill. But don’t let the last few weeks of the season slip by without tackling at least one of these nine adventures.
Spend a few hours at the park with a book or the Sunday paper. Leave your phone at home, but don’t forget to put
this on before you head out.
Hit up a minor league baseball game. The crowds are smaller than the big leagues and you can score seats behind the home plate for about $10. Find a game near you
here.
Make a pitcher of sangria for your Labor Day cookout. Combine your favorite wine and fresh summer fruits for a refreshing beverage that goes great with burgers, BBQ and corn. Here are a few
recipes. We like the pineapple-sake sangria with jalepeño best.
Make a pizza on the grill. Even better, try a dessert pizza. Bobby Flay
shows you how.
Go on a hike.
Didn’t make the family reunion this summer? Spend some time getting your parent’s stories on video. Tell them you’d like something for your kids and their kids to have in the future. All you need is a camera, a
tripod and and a
list of questions.
Make a vodka watermelon. Here are
three ways to do it.
Exercise outside. Grab your friends, go to the park and try these
5 exercises. All you need is a bench, a pole and your body weight. You might need
this, too.
Take a nap. If possible, in a hammock.
