When I’m on TV, the football fans are watching me in high def. That means any issues I have happening on my face that day are magnified – from dark circles to blemishes. So I went searching for a skincare solution that would be easy to use and help me feel more confident. Hey, I’m not vain, but I want to look my best. It’s good for job security, right? My wife doesn’t mind, either.
For my on-air work at ESPN and HSN, I’m on the road, in airplanes and hotels every week. There are often late nights and early mornings, and it can take a toll on my appearance and skincare routine. Game days are the longest. My day starts early Saturday morning and I’m either on air or working behind the scenes all day. I needed a solution.
I’d been using Anthony products for years, but hadn’t tried them all. And if I’m totally honest, I used to use body lotion on my face, which I thought was fine. Then I started experimenting with more of the Anthony products and landed on the High Performance line. Specifically, the Continuous Moisture Eye Cream and Vitamin A Hydrating Facial Lotion.
I’ve been using both of these for a few months now, and I’ve noticed drastic changes in how I look. The hydrating lotion gives me a fresh, clean appearance. But the real difference was in the quality of my skin. My smile is the key to the camera and the lotion maintains the elasticity I need when I flash a cheek-to-cheek smile. Between traveling, family and work, the long hours don’t allow me to get the sleep I need. The dark circles and puffiness around my eyes were starting to become a problem. The eye cream has diminished those issues and given me a more youthful look – especially on camera.
I’ve also noticed that using products designed specifically for the face has helped in other areas too: shaving is easier when my skin is hydrated. The razor glides more smoothly and I’m less prone to ingrown hairs. The best part of the whole deal is that my new skincare solution only takes about a minute a day. My advice is to find the products that are right for you and your lifestyle and then use them regularly. I hope you see the same great results that I have. -- ANTHONY BECHT
